When am I charged for my order? You will be charged as soon as we review your order and send it to be processed.

How long will it take to get my custom designed jewelry? Because all of our items are custom hand-made pieces, our lead times may vary based upon the time of year. Typical lead time is one - two weeks. During peak periods such as Mother's Day and Christmas, please allow at least two weeks.

How long will it take to get my one-of-a-kind jewelry or bag? All of the one-of-a-kind (OOAK) items you see on our website are pre-made and ready to ship. The only time involved will be the processing of your order which usually takes approximately 24 hours.

Can I add another name later to my keepsake bracelet? Yes. We can add an additional strand to your bracelet even if we did not make it. We can add an additional strand(s) to a single or double strand bracelet. The only cost involved is the price for the additional strand(s). How long will my beaded jewelry last? We use and sell only high quality items. Our beaded jewelry is made using high quality materials and the jewelry we well is made of quality sterling silver. Your hand strung jewelry is created to last as a keepsake. However, each person treats their jewelry differently and we recommend you send your jewelry back to have it restrung every so often. Please call if you questions on this.

How do I clean and care for my jewelry? Keeping your jewelry in an airtight container when not wearing it will help to keep it clean. When cleaning is necessary, use our custom made cleaning cloth which you order directly from our site. Commercial jewelry cleaners are not recommended!

What is 14kt Gold-Filled? 14kt Gold-Filled metal is brass with 1/20th by weight of 14kt solid gold material layered & chemically bonded to the surface of the brass "core" material. This is a much thicker layer of gold than any plated material, and has a higher gold content than 10kt or 12kt Gold - Filled material. Gold-Filled beads are sturdy and have the quality you expect from gold with more durability.

Can I have my beaded bracelet resized? We can resize your bracelet, even if we did not make it. Resizing fees are determined upon receipt and will be discussed with you before work is done. Be sure to order the correct size. Shipping charges also apply.

Where did you get the name Macklyn Lane? The name Macklyn Lane comes from the names of Leslie's children: Kelsey Macklyn and Laney Jorden.

Elastic Rings: They are made of quality materials including sterling silver, Swarovski crystals and the highest quality elastic made for creating beaded jewelry. However, elastic is not made to last “forever” and therefore, we cannot guarantee these rings. They are sold as a novelty item and are priced very reasonable with this in consideration. If your elastic ring does break and you are able to save as many beads as possible, MLD will restring your beaded ring and polish. Please call for pricing.

Photo Bag Questions

How do I keep my photo bag clean? For regular cleaning maintenance, go over your photo handbag with a lint brush. You should apply Scotchguard or a similar product that will repel moisture and water when you first receive the bag. For further cleaning, please use a damp soft towel with warm soapy water to remove dirt from the bag.

How are images made and how durable are they? Images are actually "baked" into the fabric through what is known as a sublimation process. This sublimation process actually embeds the image into the fabric. The result is an extremely clear image that will not fade, crack or peel.

Do the images snap to the front of the bag (i.e. are they removable)? No, images do not snap on the bag, therefore they are not removable. Images are actually "baked" into the fabric as described above.

What kinds of fabrics are used? Images are printed on a white, high-quality micro fiber. The rest of the bag is also constructed with an extremely durable micro fiber. Some bags also include options for leather upgrades.

What type of image file do I need to send? All images should be at least 4" x 6" in size. If you have a digital image, please upload the photo as a .jpg file. Make sure the image is saved at a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels or more.

The file size should be a minimum of 200KB and a maximum of 2MB. A minimum 2 Megapixel digital camera is required.

If you would prefer to send something by mail, your photo(s) will be returned to you; however, we cannot be responsible for photos that are damaged or lost. The photo that you send in via the mail must be an actual photo, not a photocopy or print. Only scans from traditional photo paper are acceptable. Do not send scans reproduced from laser, inkjet or bubble jet printer/copiers. Scan all prints at 300 DPI and save as a .JPG file type.

What are the delivery options? We ship within approximately 2-3 weeks of the order. You can choose between standard (2 to 3 weeks) or Priority. Priority orders are rushed through the production process and typically arrive about a week earlier than standard production orders. You must specify RUSH in your Special Instruction box during checkout and a $5 RUSH fee will be added to your order.

How long will it take to get my photo bag? Please allow 2-3 weeks for your order to ship from the time we receive your photos. This includes all size photo bags.

Can you change the color of the photo on my photo bag? Yes. We can change your color photo to black & white or sepia toned. Please select which option you would like when placing your order. If your photo has red-eye, we will automatically edit this for you.

Can I send a VERTICAL photo for my photo bag? Yes. We prefer your picture to be horizontal, but some vertical photos can be worked into your design. We will let you know when we receive your photo.

Are your photo bags waterproof? Our products are not waterproof. You can add Scotch Guard waterproofing to your bag once you receive it.
